"Wild Ride"
This is the newest addition to my watercolor paintings. It brings back memories of the creeks and streams around my home in Colorado. The one that comes most to mind is Clear Creek. I spent a lot of time fishing for trout in it. The only time the water got this swift is if ice blockage would break through then it would all run hard. This is the kind of streams that many run today with raft, canoes etc for enjoyment and sport. Hence the Title "Wild Ride"

One of my endeavors is to develop portraits. I have decided to use watercolors as I had never really liked them (difficult to control). However, now that I am using them for the miniatures I am finding that I can do my works so much faster than in oils and have the dimension of color. Doing the avatars of Secondlife and giving them a feel of being somewhat human is the task that I am developing. More portraits from SL coming soon
Mist and Surf
I have always been fascinated with painting water and trying to give the sensation of the movement to a painting. A simple but fun work to have done. ACEO 2.5 X 3.5 inches watercolor.
Time sure has passed by since my last post.
How does it do that? Oh well, I have started a new direction within my art and that is to paint miniature paintings in watercolor. The most popular size seems to be the ACEO size which is 2.5 inches X 3.5 inches (actually baseball card size.) As I paint them I will post them here to be enjoyed by anyone with an interest in following my progress. I will be still continuing with my art interests and they will be posted as well.
