Emma Watson

Emma Watson, the lovely actress who plays the part of Hermione in the Harry Potter series, is the subject of this black and white drawing.

Back to my black and white portraits.  Severus Snape, a character of the Harry Potter series, was a request by a friend to draw him.

Cherry Blossoms

This was a fun piece of work in that I went to my roots of drawing, using pen and ink, then adding the watercolor that I have been learning. I am proud of the negative spaces - a feeling of the Oriental.

Mariposa

This watercolor painting is one of a real life person who in many ways looks like my secondlife avatar, Mariposa Pedalo. Each watercolor painting I do is becoming more easy and I am adjusting well to the medium. My wish now is to be able to loosen up and paint more freely.  A difficult step to adjust after having pursued realism in my art.  Portraits are just a matter of reapplying my skills of color etc from my experiences of landscape and seascape paintings.

The Irish Lady

I am currently adding more art to my portfolio especially my portraits of Avatars of secondlife and real life as well. This watercolor painting is one of a typical redhaired lady I met in Ireland several years ago.

OSWOA® Original Watercolor Art "Ozark's Memories"

A painting of the typical Ozarks barns. I spent many hours in one similar to this one with my father and mother hand milking 50 - 60 Jerseys twice a day. There were so many other related chores: the haying, making fences, plowing, seeding, chain sawing the white oaks for stave bolts and fence posts to be treated, gathering black walnuts to be sold, hunting squirrels, rabbits, quail, wild turkey and deer - not to mention the evenings listening to the baying of the coon hounds. A great life but not for one who wants to be free from all the responsibilities of a dairy farm - 24/7/365 no vacation time.

ACEO Watercolor Art 2011

The following paintings are ones that I have posted and sold on Ebay since the first of the year. The ACEO size is done the size of baseball cards, a favorite of collectors.  Each one of these is 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches.
